About Me.
Hey! I'm Aimee, Founder of TwentyThree Agency & I wanted to share my story with you…
This journey I’m on has been a rollercoaster I never imagined, and it all started from one of the most difficult times in my life. I was traumatically bullied in secondary school, starting in Year 8. If you’ve ever been through something like that, you know how much it affects you. The teasing, the isolation, it takes a heavy toll on a young girl’s life. It was so overwhelming that my parents eventually pulled me out of school before I could even finish Year 9. At 14, I found myself at home, being homeschooled, but feeling completely alone. I had no one to talk to, no friends to hang out with, and it was as though everything I knew was gone. My Parents always said this quote to me and it stuck "walk with the wise and become wise, associate with fools and get in trouble".
Around that time, TikTok was starting to become a big thing, so I thought, why not give it a try? I began posting, just silly little videos that seemed fun. But even then, I wasn’t free from the bullying it shifted to online, with people making fun of me for “trying to take social media seriously.” I was already feeling so lost, and this pushed me even further into a place of loneliness and depression. My self-confidence was shattered, and the social anxiety that had built up made it nearly impossible for me to even think about finding a “normal” job. Even till this day I suffer badly with anxiety. Yet, social media became a small, unexpected joy for me. I started to look forward to creating content, and slowly, I noticed a change in myself, I was a little bit happier.
Then, something amazing happened. People began following me, thousands of them, and some days I’d wake up to see my account had grown overnight. I couldn’t believe it! I had just turned 16 and was thrilled to see that something I enjoyed could actually become more. I decided to take a chance and try to earn an income through my content. Somehow, those “silly little videos” weren't so silly after all and it turned into something bigger, I began landing brand collaborations. It felt surreal! The more I got involved, the more opportunities opened up. I started attending brand events (which was so big for me as I suffer really bad with social anxiety), meeting people who believed in me, and it felt like the sun had finally come out after years of cloudy skies.
One of the biggest milestones was when I earned my first five-figure income. I remember crying—not just from happiness, but because I realized that if I hadn’t gone through all those dark times, I wouldn’t be where I am now. The bullying, the loneliness, the depression & anxiety, it all led me here. I genuinely believe that everything happens for a reason, even if it doesn’t make sense at the time. Because Now, at 18, I’m making six figures. I'm financially able to own 2 cars & I was able to buy my first car too! (which again has been a huge milestone). I could also retire my parents if they’d let me!
The reason I started this journey was to give others the guidance I wish I had at the beginning. Because if I had known then what I know now, I believe I would’ve reached this point so much faster. I want everyone to know that this is possible. With determination and a little bit of guidance, you can get there! Whether you’re still in school, working a 9-to-5, struggling to find a job, struggling to pay the bills or just curious about social media, I’m here to share what I’ve learned. I hope this journey of mine can inspire you, because the little girl inside me wishes she had someone to inspire her too.
